The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are the couple who have everything. Except the teensiest bit of privacy.
I have an idea for a wedding present for them, and I wonder what you think about it?
I promise not to click on any newspaper stories that seem to be invading their privacy. That means no “stolen photos” of the honeymoon, no snaps that old “friends” haul out from college days, no snoopy details on what was in Kate’s shopping cart at the grocery store.
If we don’t click, the newspapers won’t write the stories, and the paparazzi won’t take intrusive photos if the newspapers won’t buy them.
It’s all up to us, the media consumers.
The Duke and Duchess will be doing official engagements and that will give us royal fans plenty to see.
How about it? I think the Duke’s mother would appreciate it too.

Thanks Marilyn, Will be curious to hear the privacy discussion on your internet radio show today. If others want to check that out, it’s August 28 (or later, in the archives) http://t.co/F3y5hU6
This is a great post. I’m sure they would appreciate this gift enormously. I really dislike it when I see photos like that. Leave them alone! As you said, we will see them on official engagements. It’s not like they can avoid doing them! 😉
I’ll believe it when I see it….
Averting my eyes. I’m in!
